There are four house groups at Solway School. Waipoua, Waiohine, Waiawangawanga and Ruamahanga.
These house groups are the 4 main rivers in the Wairarapa. Children are put into a house group when they start at Solway. Siblings are in the same house group. There are opportunities for House Group competitions throughout the year which include sports & the arts. Children get points for different house groups and a house group cup is awarded at the end of the year.
